Janishia Jones is a classically trained musician, singer-songwriter, senior music executive, and member of the Recording Academy's Class of '22 from Paterson, NJ & based in Los Angeles, CA.
Upon graduating with an Associate in Recording Arts, Bachelor in Music Business, and Master in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, Janishia has led a decade long career working for some of the most iconic music companies in the world including SRC / Universal Motown Records, Entertainment One, Kobalt Music Publishing & EMPIRE. Her expertise in music business operations has led her to launching ENCORE Music Tech Solutions, where as Consultant & Product Manager she advises on & develops music rights management systems.
As Founder / CEO of Fresh 'N Sassy Productions, Janishia has built an ecosystem of safe spaces for women of color in the music industry. As host of Pub Royalty Queen Podcast she interviews WOC about their challenges navigating a white male-dominated industry.
As Founder / Data Analyst for A Seat at the Table Market Research Agency she produced the first research study on intersectionality in the music business which has aided in providing more equitable opportunities for POC & helped WOC advocate for themselves in underrepresented spaces.
