Andrew Mitchell

Andrew Mitchell serves as Head of Analytics and Automation for The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC), where he oversees the design and implementation of business intelligence reporting for The MLC’s internal teams and develops strategies and tools for analyzing the usage reporting data The MLC receives from digital service providers. He also manages The MLC’s manual sound recording and musical works matching processes.

Andrew has more than 15 years of experience in operational excellence, analytics, business intelligence (BI), automation, process improvement, lean six sigma and global business transformation. He was previously the Vice President of Analytics & Process Automation at Warner Music Group, playing a leading role in establishing Warner’s award-winning Center of Excellence to drive operational efficiencies across its U.S.-based labels. In this role, he assembled and led teams to develop analytics, oversaw more than 200 process improvement projects and implemented dozens of automated workflows across the center. Prior to that, he spent a decade working in financial planning and analysis for Ingram Content Group, a global leader in distribution, print-on-demand manufacturing and digital content solutions for major book publishers. Andrew holds an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, where he graduated at the top of his class and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. He also earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University (Ohio), as well as a certification in Business Analytics from Harvard Business School. A Nashville native, Andrew volunteers as a mentor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and is a former board member of the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer event. He currently resides in Nashville with his wife and two children.
